Some wedding venues simply have that wow factor, and J&I’s beautiful spring wedding at Leonardslee Family Vineyards was one of those days from start to finish.
Set amongst rolling vineyards in the heart of West Sussex, Leonardslee offers some of the most spectacular views of any wedding venue I’ve filmed at this year. With sunshine from morning until evening, guests were treated to stunning views across the estate, neighbouring golf course, and surrounding countryside throughout the day.
The ceremony took place in Leonardslee’s elegant upper room, where one of the standout moments came as J made her entrance to an orchestral string arrangement of Teenage Dirtbag. Performed by the fantastic South Downs Strings, it was a brilliant blend of romance, nostalgia and personality that immediately had guests smiling.
Following the ceremony, everyone gathered outside in the courtyard overlooking the grounds to enjoy drinks, conversation and some truly glorious April sunshine. The atmosphere was relaxed, joyful and exactly what you’d hope for from a vineyard wedding in Sussex.
The speeches brought plenty of laughter and surprises, including an unexpected German speech and tradition that caught many guests off guard and created some memorable moments for everyone in the room.
As the day moved into the evening, we were given the opportunity to explore the wider estate aboard a golf buggy, following J&I through the vineyards and grounds to capture some incredible footage. With rows of vines stretching into the distance and golden sunlight bathing the estate, it created some of my favourite shots of the year so far.
A huge thank you as well to photographer Ant Rawbin, who was an absolute pleasure to work alongside throughout the day. Having great suppliers around you always helps create a relaxed atmosphere, and this wedding was no exception.
